Conference Interpreters in Jakarta

An interpreter jakarta booking is spoken work for a hall, a boardroom or a visit when the people in the room do not share one language. The role is not the host and not the keynote. It is the person, or the pair, who renders what is said so the meeting can continue. Each card on this page is a role, not a named person. Fees are on request and depend on the languages, the hours and whether the day is one room or several.
Simultaneous, consecutive and accompanying
Simultaneous interpretation is for a conference or a forum that cannot pause. The interpreter speaks while the floor speaker continues, usually from a booth, and the listeners use receivers. Consecutive interpretation is for a meeting, a negotiation or a short remark: the speaker pauses, and the interpreter delivers that stretch. Accompanying interpretation is the same idea on the move, on a factory floor, in a corridor or in a car between sites, where a booth does not exist. Say which hours are which. A morning plenary and an afternoon plant visit are not one format, and a dinner toast is not a conference day.
Why interpreters work in pairs
Simultaneous interpreters work in pairs and rotate. The work is too concentrated for one person to carry a full session. Plan on two interpreters per language pair, and a second pair if the room must hear two foreign languages at once. Consecutive and accompanying work can be one interpreter for a short meeting, and a second person when the day is long, the subject is technical, or the group splits. Write that split down before the date is held. A yes to the plenary is not a yes to the site visit unless both call times are in the brief.
Booths, and who arranges them
Booths, consoles and receivers are arranged with the venue or an AV supplier. We do not rent that equipment. We match the interpreters. Tell us whether the hall already has a booth, or whether a table-top booth has to be set in a hotel ballroom, a convention floor or a corporate auditorium. The booth needs a clean feed of every speaker, including a panellist without a microphone. If the interpreters cannot hear the floor, the receivers will not help. Test that feed, and the handover between the pair, before the first speech. Name the district and a realistic arrival. If the day leaves the building, keep the booth for the indoor sessions and use consecutive or accompanying interpretation outside.
Languages for an interpreter jakarta brief
English and Bahasa Indonesia are the usual pair for a Jakarta conference. Mandarin is a separate brief when a Chinese-speaking delegation must follow the same meeting. Japanese, Korean and Arabic are further pairs, not assumed from an English confirmation. Sign language is its own role when a deaf participant must follow the floor. Written translation of slides, a speech or a contract is separate from the person in the booth.
Send the agenda, the slide titles and any speech that already exists, even as a draft. Add product names, laws and abbreviations that must not be guessed. Say who is in the room and which lines they must act on. We do not publish an interpreter’s phone number, email or social accounts. The request comes to the agency. We keep 2–3 vetted candidates or teams and match them to the subject. Open a card, or use the request form if the pair is not listed. A host for the same day is a different role. The fee is on request. Other formats stay on interpreters.

Questions
Simultaneous or consecutive for a Jakarta conference?
Simultaneous when the plenary cannot pause, usually from a booth. Consecutive when the speaker can stop, as in a meeting or a remark. Tell us the format of each session.
Why do conference interpreters work in pairs?
Simultaneous work is concentrated, so a pair rotates through the session. One interpreter is not a full day in the booth. A second language at the same time needs a second pair.
Do you rent the booth and the receivers?
No. Booths, consoles and receivers are arranged with the venue or an AV supplier. We match the interpreters. We do not rent the equipment.
Can we contact the interpreter directly?
No. The request goes to the agency. Personal phone numbers, email and social accounts are not on the site. The fee is on request.
