Event Venues in Bali and Jakarta: Speakers, MCs & Interpreters

An empty ballroom prepared for a conference, with no people in the room

Planning a conference in Bali or Jakarta starts with the room, then the people who have to hold it. These pages are notes for organisers who already have a venue in mind, or who are choosing between a convention centre and a hotel ballroom. They explain how to brief an MC, speakers, a moderator and interpreters. Speakers Indonesia does not represent any venue on this list. We do not sell the halls, and we do not describe shows as if we had produced them there.

Book the building with the venue. Book the voices with us. The venue's team, or your AV supplier, owns the microphones, the lights and the question of whether a booth fits the room. We match people to the run of show you send. Fees are on request. A one-room welcome is a different brief from two days of parallel sessions.

In Bali the notes cover Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Bali Beach Convention in Sanur, and resort hotels in Nusa Dua. The shared issue is movement. Speakers stay in one hotel and present in another. A garden welcome becomes a ballroom session. Transfers and call times belong on the same page as the script. A bilingual MC can carry instructions in English and Bahasa Indonesia. They should not be the only plan if the speeches themselves must be interpreted all day.

In Jakarta the notes cover Jakarta Convention Center, JIExpo Kemayoran, and ICE BSD. Traffic is part of the cue. Central Jakarta, Kemayoran and BSD are not the same drive, and none of them is a fixed number of minutes. Build a buffer, name the hall entrance, and do not put two arrivals into one handoff. Exhibition stages also run longer than a plenary. A host for a show floor is a different role from a conference MC, and a long day may need a rotation.

Multi-hall programmes fail when one name is written on every room. If two stages are live together, you need two people. A moderator owns a panel. An MC owns the frame of the day. Interpreters own the words of a speech when the audience cannot follow the original. Ask the venue's AV team, before you promise the format, whether a booth and receivers are in the hire. Then tell us the language pair and the hours.

Each venue page has a checklist and a block of roles for that city. Open the one that matches the building, then send the brief. If you are still choosing the room, send the date and the shape of the programme and we will say which roles fit. We will not pretend to know the venue's diary. The link on a venue page, where we have one, goes to the venue's own website and is not an endorsement.

No. You contract the space with the venue. You request MCs, speakers, moderators and interpreters through Speakers Indonesia.

Which city do you cover?

Bali and Jakarta. Say which one, and name the venue if you have it.

What does a speaker or MC cost?

Fees are on request. They depend on the date, the hours, the languages and how many rooms are live.
