MCs, Speakers & Interpreters for BNDCC Nusa Dua Events

An empty lectern in a concrete hall, with no people on stage

Planning a conference at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center? Here is how to plan the hosting, speakers and interpretation. This page is a planning note for organisers. Speakers Indonesia does not represent the building, does not sit on its supplier list, and does not describe events we have run there. You book the halls with the venue. You ask us for the people who speak, host and interpret.

A multi-hall day is the usual reason this venue comes up. A plenary in one room and breakouts in others cannot share one MC. Decide which room is the show, and which rooms only need a moderator who can start on time and stop a panel. If two stages run in parallel, plan two hosts. A single person cannot cue both rooms, and a radio handoff is not a substitute for someone who has the script.

Write the run of show before you argue about talent. Mark the doors time, the first remark, each handoff, and the moment a breakout must release people back to the plenary. Rehearsal belongs the day before, or at least before doors, not in the ten minutes after the first speaker lands. Send the rundown, name list and pronunciation notes with the request. Fees are on request and follow the hours, languages and number of rooms.

Speakers staying in Nusa Dua hotels still need a transfer plan. The resort area is walkable in parts and not in others, and a speaker who is "five minutes away" can miss a cue if the buggy or car is not booked. If someone is coming from Ubud, Canggu or the airport the same morning, put a buffer in the schedule and a backup speaker or a longer hosted introduction. Tell us the call time at the hall, not only the time on the invitation.

Plan the people on stage

MC

One lead MC for the plenary, in the languages the room must follow for instructions. A greeting in a second language is not the same as hosting the day. If the gala is in the evening, say whether it is the same person or a second host with a different energy.

Speakers

Name the outcome of each talk in one line, the length, and whether the speaker needs a clicker, a lapel mic or a lectern. We match keynote and expert roles to the brief. We do not publish names on this site.

Moderator

Breakouts and panels need a moderator who has the questions and permission to cut a speaker off. That is a different role from the MC who only introduces them.

Interpreters

A bilingual MC can carry short remarks and instructions in two languages. A full day of speeches needs interpreters, usually a pair for simultaneous work. Ask the venue's AV team whether a booth and receivers are part of your hall hire. We match the interpreters. Equipment stays with the venue or your AV supplier unless the proposal says otherwise.

Planning checklist

  • List every room that has a live programme, and who is in charge of each one.
  • Mark which segments are English, Bahasa Indonesia, or another language.
  • Ask the venue AV team about booths, receivers and who calls cues.
  • Fix rehearsal time before doors, and send the rundown.
  • Book hotel transfers for speakers, with a buffer if they are outside Nusa Dua.
  • Send the brief. Fees stay on request.

Roles for Bali events

These are roles based in Bali, not a crew assigned to the building. Fee: On request.

Questions

Do you represent BNDCC?

No. You contract the halls with the venue. We match MCs, speakers, moderators and interpreters for the programme you describe.

Can one MC cover every room?

Only if the rooms do not run at the same time. Parallel sessions need a host or moderator in each room.

What does the team cost?

Fees are on request. They depend on the date, hours, languages and how many rooms are live.
